Born in Ethiopia and adapted to Bolivia’s distinct environmental conditions, this specialty coffee grown at an elevation of 5700 feet above sea level boasts a unique flavor profile. It combines hints of exotic tropical fruits, jasmine, green apple, and grapefruit, reminiscent of your first love.
first milestone
Our goal is to sell our initial batch consisting of 2,000 bottles, each containing 25 gr (14.1 oz) of coffee, packaged in pairs.
Design
We prioritize sustainability in the coffee industry, which is why our packaging is crafted from eco-friendly materials like glass, cork, and stylish handcrafted leather made by skilled local artisans from our community.
Sustainability
In addition to biodegradable materials, we aim to integrate our traceability app with data on CO2 emissions saved compared to conventional coffee production. To achieve this, we'll utilize solar energy to power the drying systems and other machinery at the local production plants.
“Waste”
In many places, coffee pulp is disposed of in large waste sites without treatment. However, in Bolivia, dehydrated coffee peel, known as Sultana, is traditionally consumed as an infusion with cinnamon and sometimes cloves. The Sultana has a rich cultural history, once considered a drink for the less fortunate as it was a by-product of coffee production consumed by poor farmers. Our goal is to commercialize this by-product and explore the feasibility of producing biogas to power our processing facilities.
Second milestone
If the initial milestone is achieved, we’ll have the necessary resources to reinvest in our traceability infrastructure and seamlessly integrate it into our upcoming roasted coffee exports. This achievement will enable us to expand production on our farms as well as securing coffee production from local producers offering them better prices, thus paving the way for the introduction of a new 400g (14.1 oz) coffee packaging presentation.
Pre - Orders
The initial batch of 2,000 bottles will be available via a crowdfunding campaign aimed at selling 1,000 packages, each containing two bottles of 25g (0.88 oz), for delivery beginning in October 2024 in the USA. Each package will be priced at $40, covering taxes and shipping costs.
How to prepare your coffee samples
Weigh your coffee beans
- Weigh 17 grams (0.6 oz) of coffee beans on an electronic scale.
Grind your coffee beans
- Setup your coffee grinder at 10 clicks
Boil water
- Boil water in a gooseneck coffee kettles at 92 C (197.6 F)
Setup your V-60 brewer
- Place the ground coffee into the paper filter in your V-60 brewer, then set the scale to zero beneath it.
Begin brewing your coffee
You need to pour a total of 170 ml of water (5.7 US oz):
- Pour 30 ml of water (1.0 oz) in a circular motion and wait 20 seconds.
- Pour 50 ml of water (1.7 oz) and wait 30 seconds.
- Pour the remaining 90 ml of water (3.0 oz) and wait 1 minute.
